Create a video and win pens from Sakura!

If you missed out on my last giveaway, you're in luck! Sakura is hosting a big giveaway for my favorite pens, Pigma Microns! Take a peek at the video above on how to enter. You can see an example of my live doodling at the 39 second mark.

About the giveaway via Sakura:

To celebrate all all of the interesting, technical, quirky, and cool ways you use Pigma ink products, we’re asking you to film a video where you talk about how you use Pigma Micron pens. Describe what you do with them, why you like them, and if you want you can even show us something you’ve written or created with them! If you don’t have Micron pens to show, be creative with your entry with why you want/must have them.
After that, please copy and paste a link to your testimonial video in the comment section of the video below on YouTube. Then contact us at www.PigmaMicron.com/Contact and send us your YouTube username, mailing address, and a link to your video. Each of the first 100 participants to meet all qualifications will receive a special gift of Pigma Micron and Pigma Graphic pens. This giveaway will run until we reach 100 entries or December 31, 2014 – whichever comes first.
Visit www.PigmaMicron.com/terms for the rules.

Good luck!

A Summer Love Affair with Canvas.

Since the Red Bull Canvas Cooler Project, I've been a little obsessed with drawing on canvas. As with most artists, I've experimented with many different mediums, and I've come to the conclusion that paint just isn't my thing. I love the precise, portable aspect of pens and markers, and I'm determined to draw on everything and anything I can get my hands on! These 10x10" canvases were a lot of fun. I'm so used to working on pieces that are much more detailed and intricate, so it was nice to have a little instant gratification when working on these.

I can't express how much I love Sakura's Permapaque markers when working with canvas. They are highly pigmented, never bleed, and remain perfect underneath both spray and brush-on varnishes.

My next canvas project is a huge one. For the next 2 months I'll be working on the pieces I'll be exhibiting at SCOPE Miami in December. I'll be posting updates on those soon. To say I'm ridiculously excited is a huge understatement!
