UNMASKED: Secret Identities & Hidden Desires.

April 12, 2014 in Projects, Shows

My first official vinyl toy group show will open on April 18th at the Bottleneck Gallery in Brooklyn, New York! I'm thrilled to have my piece in the midst of such talent!

Here is a glimpse of my piece. While others are immensely talented at customizing their pieces with clay, paint, found materials, etc. I've always found a more simple approach works best for my style. I may experiment with clay to try to create a piece that resembles my big-haired pin-curl girls in the future. Adding clay flora could be fun, too! For this piece, I used Sakura Permapaque paint markers (both fine-tipped and dual) on a Kid Robot Trikky 7" blank. The result was super clean, which satisfied by perfectionist tendencies.

I'm definitely more art than writing inclined, but you can find sneak peeks of my work, daily life, and see my Link Love posts here.
